As the weeks have passed and the weather has grown more and more awful, Uniformes Generale has gradually teased out their rather spectacular AW Hikerdelia collection. We might have been banging on about this collection only a couple of months back, but the Ranulph Expedition Parka is worthy of some more attention.
Releasing the collection over 6 phases it seems they've managed to save the best till last, although it has to be said it didn't start out too shabby – things have just got better and better. It's nice because when Autumn Winter lookbooks come out in September you can appreciate heavy duty, down filled goodness but it's only when you get caught out in the cold that you actually feel motivated to invest – plus, this jacket has come out right in time for the season of good (gifts) to all men.
The Ranulph Expedition Parka has got tech specs to rival a small car. Real down lining; shearling-y, animal-friendly Borg hood lining; a high-density cotton outer and much, much more for you to have a big long stare at over on the UG site. You have to hand it to these guys, they’ve gone beyond nice coats and steamed on through to technical outerwear, which is a huge advance and not something you can just wing.
Further info and the rest of the Uniformes Generale Hikerdelia collection can be found over at, you guessed it, their website. While you’re there, you can pick me one of these up if you like… ta.
