I'm always a little too tight to fork out for a lightweight summer coat, but considering the hit and miss weather we experience in the UK, it wouldn't be a bad idea. This sprung to mind after I saw some of the spring/summer Penfield stuff in Sa-Ki's, Sheffield. While they offer pretty good prices for their stuff, I never take much notice of Penfield. The Gibson jacket (pictured below) is a nicely structured weather proof blend that would keep out the elements, without leaving you sweating when the sun breaks out. It would sit nicely on the waist, looking great with a pair of shorts, and would see you through to the autumn pretty well with trousers and jeans. I'm off to Glastonbury at the end of this month, and I'm currently weighing up whether I can justify the £100 plunge for something as daft as a festival.
