Apart from Triads, the only way you’re ever going to associate streetwear with Middlesbrough, England is Set, a brand who’ve been growing steadily and organically over the past few years, known today for their on point, laid back and tasteful approach to menswear.
They’ve just added a bunch of new products to their web store, and I’m pleased to tell you that this is certainly their finest work to date. Set’s latest offering does a great job of further concreting the brand’s natural, stripped back aesthetic onto some nice everyday styles that’ll work great alongside your usual get up.
Bringing the super popular Polo cap back in a firmer, six panel variation and evolving the brand’s VHS motif sees some nice, refined development of key Set themes. The highlights for me are the white six panel cap and pink Stayset long sleeve, which together come in at under sixty quid and create the beginnings of a great fit.
A successful Shoreditch pop-up last year and a recent Depop feature are firming up Set’s place in menswear and streetwear culture as a brand who understand what style conscious people are looking for, and can consistently deliver it at a super friendly price point.
