Like That - Isaac Danquah (prod. Hurricane)

Following up from the SBTV shot In: Motion, Overdiluted favourite Hurricane teams up with Isaac Danquah for Like That, a shimmering, swagged out track of innovative sounds and clever, cheeky and easy vocals.

In: Motion showed signs of a decent producer/ rapper duo and Like That is proof that Hurricane and Isaac Danquah make a great team. Hurricane’s steady away beats provide Isaac with the space to finesse while the beats still stay front of mind and interesting without ever encroaching on the vocals. Like That shows Danquah creating a cool hook without the track breaking out into a proper chorus, something that I like to see as it shows some vision, a real grasp of flow and a want to move outside of a formulaic verse/ chorus approach.

Everything I’ve heard from both of these artists shows real signs of promise and I for one would really like to see the two work together more. Individually, they’re both interesting and slightly leftfield for a London producer or rapper, so collectively they could well find ways to push boundaries and create a very current and innovative sound of London.
