Heresy SS15 - Cunning Folk

Peckham based menswear brand Heresy present their SS15 wares via a dark and medieval tinged lookbook titled ‘Cunning Folk’.

With a focus on monochrome; ringspun cotton t-shirts, baseball jerseys and sweats are hand screenprinted with unique and wandering graphics, while the tabard, Mussette bag and range of hats show Heresy going far beyond the constraints of your average styles.

Cunning Folk were white witches in the UK and Central Europe during the Twentieth Century, who sought to oppose witchcraft, seek out criminals and heal the ill. It’s great to see a young brand taking a not-so-literal, slightly leftfield approach to their collection, taking influence from outside of fashion and looking past logos or items that could generate a bit of hype.

With that said, ethos won’t sell your gear, but Heresy have backed the ideas and artistry up with styles that are wearable, idiosyncratic and pretty bloody nice.

You can check out (and buy) the collection on the Heresy website today.
